Charles A. Michalek was born in Flushing, NY and moved to Las Vegas permanently in 1980. After graduating from Valley High School, Mr. Michalek attended UNLV and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Management before completing his J.D. at McGeorge School of Law in Sacramento, CA in 1995. At McGeorge, Charles was a member of the National Moot Court Team and worked in McGeorge’s Community Legal Services clinic, which served low-income clients in the areas of Immigration, Bankruptcy and Elder and Health Law.

Since his admission to the Nevada State Bar in 1995, Charles’ legal practice has been dedicated to the field of Personal Injury law. In his second decade of practice, he developed an additional specialty in Appellate practice. His work has included cases involving disputed insurance coverage, bad faith, and other significant Personal Injury matters. Charles has obtained an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell and is proud to participate in The State Bar of Nevada’s annual Mock Trial competition as a scoring judge. He also serves as a volunteer attorney for clients of the Pro Bono Committee of the State Bar of Nevada’s Appellate Litigation Section. He is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and the Clark County Bar Association.

Charles joined RMCM in 2006 and has several reported opinions from the Nevada Supreme Court. The most recent opinion, Pack v. LaTourette, 128 Nev. Adv. Op. 25, 277 P.3d 1246 (2012), involved the timeliness of a claim for contribution in a medical malpractice setting, a matter of significant importance to both the Plaintiff and Defense bar. He is proud to have honed his Appellate practice under the tutelage of Rex Alan Jemison and Dan Polsenberg, both Appellate legal legends in Nevada.
