Marissa R. Temple
Marissa R. Temple came to Las Vegas from Mililani, Hawaii–a small town in the center of the island of O’ahu. While in high school, Ms. Temple was a nationally recognized debater and ranked the top orator in the state of Hawaii.
Ms. Temple attended University of Nevada, Las Vegas on a scholarship, earning her BA in 2001. While there, she was a member of the University’s intercollegiate debate team and an elected student body senator. She went on to attend law school at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas William S. Boyd School of Law where she served as the chair for the Moot Court Team and Vice President of the Student Bar Association. She was awarded the Dean’s Award for Outstanding Service upon graduating in 2004.
Ms. Temple has spent all 12 years of her legal practice working in the field of insurance law, with 7 of those years spent serving as in house counsel for American Family Insurance Company. Her work has focused on insurance coverage, bad faith and first party defense, insurance fraud detection and prevention, and personal injury defense. Ms. Temple was recognized by Nevada Business Journal as one of Nevada’s Legal Elite Top 200 Attorneys in both 2014 and 2015. She is a member of the State Bar of Nevada, the Clark County Bar Association and the Las Vegas Defense Lawyers. She also serves as a volunteer attorney for Clark County’s Children’s Advocacy Program.
