R. Kade Baird was born in Laramie, Wyoming in 1976 and has lived almost his entire life in the mountain West. He attended Northern Arizona University from 1997 to 2000, and graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with an emphasis in Spanish. He was selected as an outstanding graduate of the School of Communication and was awarded the Lawrence T. Wren Pre-Law Scholarship as well. He attended law school at the S.J. Quinney School of Law at the University of Utah from 2000 to 2003, when he received his Juris Doctor. While in law school, Mr. Baird was co-president of the Spanish for Lawyers organization and coordinated the Guadalupe School site for the pro bono project. He also clerked for Brian Barnard, Esq., researching and writing primarily in the area of Constitutional law and civil rights. After he graduated law school, he moved to Nevada to clerk while he studied for the bar. Mr. Baird was admitted to the Nevada Bar in October 2003.
Since his admission to the Nevada Bar in 2003, Mr. Baird has practiced in the areas of Insurance Defense, Construction Defect, Contracts, Corporate Law, Personal Injury, Insurance Subrogation, Products Liability and Appellate work. He has handled all aspects of civil litigation, from the Complaint or Answer to appeals in the Nevada Supreme Court. Mr. Baird has handled all types of alternative dispute resolution, from non-binding arbitrations in the Eighth and Second Judicial Districts of Nevada, to binding arbitrations, settlement conferences and Nevada Supreme Court mandatory settlement conferences. He has served clients ranging from individuals to major insurance companies and corporate entities.
Since joining Rogers, Mastrangelo, Carvalho & Mitchell in February of 2011, Mr. Baird has continued to work all phases of civil litigation, including conducting trials.
